Use latest preview OpenXR runtime slider “On”, Custom Render Rate checked, set at 50%, Motion Reprojection Disabled, both “Advanced Settings” unchecked. My system does not like using XMP, even though it’s perfectly happy with the XMP settings being manually set.Ģ070 Super, OCed in MSI Afterburner to +100 Core Voltage, 111 Power Limit, 88 Temp Limit, +175 Core Clock, +1000 Memory Clock. It’s the first and only VR device I’ve ever owned, despite being overall an IT uber-nerd for more years than I care to admit.ġ0600K OCed (using Asus AI OC tools) to all-core 4.9GHz, all other settings (except RAM) set to Auto.Ħ4GB of CL16 RAM, 3200MHz, speed and settings set manually. I can imagine a faster CPU would solve this: my Ryzen 3700x seems to be a bottleneck in these situations. This is for my Reverb G2. I have to tweak circuit details from max to medium - some layouts are perfect but some (3rd party) stutter on max or high. Everything else ingame set to high or max and max 11 AI visible. Ingame antialiasing set to lvl 3, steam SS 140, I turned off post effects because it distracted me (when the light hit the car from behind I got really huge overexposed areas in the cockpit). Would you mind sharing which settings helped you? I am about to try rF2 in VR for the first time. In both PCars 2 and AC, I can't quite get the VR picture to be as sharp as I'd like. Hey m8, that's good to hear that it is sharper than AC. The game seems to be much sharper in VR than ie Assetto Corsa (I am battling with jagged edges in AC, this isn't happening to me in rF2). Had to play with settings a bit (RTX2080ti) because during rain my fps went bellow reprojection (I use 90Hz. Originally posted by goobMB:I love rFactor2 in VR (Valve Index).

Are your GPU drivers up to date? You can try setting " -oculus " as the launch option for each game. AC, RF2, and ACC all start in VR without any issues when launched through steam. I'm using the beta version of SteamVR The very odd time I would get a message that the game doesn't support VR or something similar but it would start in VR just fine.

I have all of the games you've mentioned and I use a Rift.I haven't had any of these problems. all seam to do the same thing (at least the Beta v1117 I tried).ĭo you guys running Oculus have soo much trouble starting your games to play in VR as well ? Again used to be able to start RF2 and then go in Video Settings and choose OPEN VR or maybe it said just HMD + MIRROR or something like that but now when I hit that button, no further options pop up like they used to. I have tried every option I can think of with RF2 and get the same message before it starts that "RF2 does not support VR" I know it does, so must be some issue with SteamVR and RF2 talking to each other or something. they it still comes up with an error message but if you hit Ok, it actually boots up in VR mode anyways. You have to start ACC to play in VR WITHIN the SteamVR Home screen. they all come up with error saying you are starting it in desktop mode even if you choose SteamVR as the option with my NLR Platform Manager. Hit GO and it starts up in VR no problem.ĪCC you cannot start it in VR from any of the desktop programs ie. I should also note that SteamVR seems to have become very finicky on how you use it.įor example, playing in AC you can play VR easily if you set it up as your video setting in Content Manager.
